Description

Protein Synthesis is one of those topics that students initially struggle with. There is a LOT going on. This bundle of resources will really help your students understand it.

Clear diagrams allow students to visualize the process of transcription and translation. Students will work through Google Slides activities, looking at each stage in protein synthesis. They’ll drag and drop bases to build a strand of mRNA, and they’ll use a codon chart to work out amino acids.

Once students have completed the Google Slides, they will complete a set of Doodle Notes to review protein synthesis. These really help students see the big picture, with large diagrams showing parts of the cell and what is happening inside it. Finally, there is a Google Forms Quiz to check how much your students have understood. This is set up to be self-grading, so there is really no extra work for you.

Answers are included for all of these resources, along with handy teacher guides so you know how to use these activities in your classroom.
